Men’s Health

Men’s Health is so important, but unfortunately these days there is still a high percentage of men who don’t get regular check-ups with their GP or don’t take care of their physical health in general.

There’s the misconception that young men in their 20’s have nothing to worry about, but the reality of it is that even though you’re young you still need to look after your mental health and maintain somewhat of a healthy lifestyle. Your body is not meant to be indestructible.

At Refine Clinic, we are here for all your everyday health matters, more specialized areas such as Erectile Dysfunction, Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer, and Fertility. We understand and appreciate the need for privacy, so you can be assured we will deal with your issues in a professional and discreet manner.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Common types of STDs in men include Chlamydia, gonorrhea, Trichomoniasis, and Genital Herpes.

When signs and symptoms of STDs do occur, they include:

  • Genital lesions or sores (as with herpes or HPV)
  • Urethritis (with gonorrhea or Chlamydia)
  • Systemic symptoms that affect the entire body (such as HIV).

Early tests to diagnose STDs as well as STD counseling in regard to the risks of spreading the infection, and how to avoid spreading it to others. Dr. Bratu will be able to advise you on anything you need to know.

Erectile Dysfunction | Men’s Health

Your consultation with Dr. Natalia Bratu beforehand is important. She will take a look at your medical and sexual history. This information will help her to diagnose whether your Erectile Dysfunction is a physical or psychological issue. Sometimes treatment is as easy as a lifestyle change. Changes such as quitting smoking or losing weight, and getting more exercise. Other treatments will be discussed during your consultation.

Fertility | Men’s Health

Male Fertility is such a complex issue. Infertility can be caused by so many things, hormonal imbalances, infection, and even Coeliac disease. These are just a few from a long list, many treatable with a lifestyle change, others requiring more specialized treatment. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

Preventative Health is also very important as you get on in life. We are committed to you and we’re here to guide you and give the best advice possible.
